Obituary: RALLS (Special) - Services for Sidney Wilburn Shew, 73, a resident of Ralls since 1949, will be at 2 p.m. today in Ralls First Baptist church. Officiating will be the Rev. C.M. Fields, pastor assisted by the Rev. E.C. Chron, Abernathy. Burial will be in Ralls Cemetery under direction of Carter Funeral Home here. Shew died Tuesday in Ralls Convalescent Home after a brief illness. He moved to Ralls in 1949 from Paris. He was born in Lamar County and was a retired farmer. Survivors include his wife, Mable; two sons, Howard W. Shew, Amarillo and Paul Hardin, Plainview; two daughters, Mrs. Mildred Allen, Paris, and Mrs. Bernice Hardin, Lubbock; two brothers, A.W. and G.C. Shew, both of Paris; 16 grandchildren and 10 great-grandchildren. Pallbearers will be Billy Bob Mann, W.R. Tucker, Hugo Tipp, Lois Stone, Fred Schluter and Ragsdale Davis.
