The moot court case was loosely based on the real cases of State v. A.O., 198 N.J. 69 (2009), and State v. Byrd, 198 N.J. 319 (2009), raising issues as to the use of evidence derived from an uncounselled polygraph examination and the recognition of a "forfeiture by wrongdoing" hearsay exception.
