The moot court case was loosely based on the real cases of
State v. Chen, __ N.J. __ (2011) [decided by the NJ Supreme Court 8/24/2011], and
State v. Hupka, 203 N.J. 222 (2010), raising issues of the admissibility of eyewitness identification testimony in the face of possible witness taint and the permanent forfeiture of public employment on conviction of certain crimes.
