The case argued by the students in this class in the Summer of 2001 was:
State v. Tony Alto.

The moot court case was based on the real case of State v. Williams, 172 N.J. 361 (2002), in which the issue was when a trial court may dismiss a deliberating juror and substitute an alternate when the juror complains of financial hardship.
