There were plenty of representatives of the next generation -- Dick's second cousins -- as well (in addition to me!):
• Bobette Barrett Richardson was named for Dick's Aunt Bobbette Gottlieb. Clady tells the story that she was nearly due with Bobette when Maud came to visit and she, with young Bobbette in tow, took Clady to and from doctor's appointments. So the new baby girl was named to honor her cousin.
• Monte Beth "Betsy" Barrett Haney, who didn't put Duncan Geissler down long enough for anyone to get a really good picture of Betsy. Then again, looking at Betsy's face as Duncan chews on her necklace, that really is a good picture of Betsy...
• Barry Dalton Barrett whose middle name, we are told, comes from his father's side and the old Dalton Gang. Doesn't much matter if it's true -- the family never lets the truth interfere with a good story.
• Kathryn ("Kacy") Geissler St. Clair, who didn't stop chasing Duncan Geissler long enough for anyone to get a really good picture of Kacy (did anyone get one??? I sure didn't!).
• Frederick Michael Geissler, one of the few who actually (gasp!) smiled for the camera.
• Steven Howard Barrett who can't ever be found far from a guitar -- thank heavens! He has a nice light touch that's so easy to listen to.
• William Karl Geissler, who might have spent a little more time visiting if there hadn't been a football game on TV that his son Dennis just had to watch... Bill's better half, Carolyn, was there as well, but Carolyn has learned the fine art of hiding from the camera by holding a photogenic baby on her lap and pointing her own gorgeous head of hair at the camera.
• Paula Kay Williams, almost -- but not quite -- the youngest of her generation. (I think, if my records are right, there is exactly one cousin younger than Paula -- Mike's daughter Chrissie.) She's also a top flight genealogy researcher and nailed down the identity of our great grandmother Mattie Johnson earlier this year.
