Martin Gilbert Cottrell, December 1938, in Lovington, NM, 1/2 block off
Main St. on West Central. There was a light coating of snow on the ground.
The men are (L-R) Bob Beverly, Martin G. Cottrell (with cane), John Barron
who came to Midland TX in 1883 and built the first hotel there, and W.D.
Peveler who was a rancher in the area then. Bob Beverly was taking the
others, who were all 83 years old, out for Christmas dinner.
