It's been 10 years since we've had a new niece or nephew (we even have a GRAND niece -- Sydney -- already!), so it was very special for all of us to learn that youngest brother Bill and his wife Carolyn were going to be parents for the first time this year.
And at 9:43 p.m. PST on February 28th (not REALLY as a birthday present for brother Paul, who turned 46 this February 28th), along came Dennis Alexander!
Hi Mom!

Hi Dad!
Weighing in
Dennis is a big bruiser of a lad -- 20 inches long and weighing in at 9 pounds, 3.4 ounces. He has also has long Geissler arms, and (as this photo demonstrates) the usual Geissler desire (and ability) to make himself heard.
What I think I like the very best about this youngun's birth is the Virtual Nursery of the hospital where he was born.
Though the Community Hospital of the Monterey Peninsula claimed to have technical problems that prevented it from showing new babies' photos, it did have this GIF that sums up what this little boy holds in store for us all...
